When our eyes see our hands doing the work of our hearts, the circle of Creation is completed inside us, the doors of our souls fly open and love steps forth to heal everything in sight. ~ Michael Bridge
I’ve had jobs that I’ve loved, jobs that I hated, and jobs that I loved that, over time, morphed into jobs that I hated. I can remember one job that I LOVED where I literally sang all day long as I worked because I was so happy. If you are fortunate to be doing something that you love – really, really love, your happiness radiates out from you and shines on the world around you.
But what happens if you are doing things that need to get done, but it’s not necessarily something that brings you great happiness and joy? Things get a little tougher then, but you know what. We are smart people. We KNOW what to do! Find aspects of your job or task that bring you happiness. Maybe it’s the gathering of data, or the generating or the creating of a report. For me, I hate grading and creating formal lesson plans, but I LOVE the interaction with the kids, and that light bulb moment when the get something they’ve been struggling with.
Find the joy in what you do and let the love in you shine out!
