No matter how you live, someone will be disappointed. So just live your truth and be sure YOU aren’t the one who is disappointed in the end.

It’s your life, live it on your terms. The only expectations you have to live up to are the ones you set for yourself.  Sure, maybe mom is going to be upset if you don’t go to med school, or dad will be bummed if you don’t go to the same college that he went to.  In the end, none of that matters.  What matters is YOUR happiness.   You can’t make everybody happy, and if you try, you’re going to end up making yourself UNhappy, and where is the sense in doing that?  Your happiness is what matters, so live your life and follow your dreams.  In the end, if you’re happy, other people will be happy for you.
