The unhappiest people in this world are the people who care the most about what everyone else thinks. – C. JoyBell C.
Who cares what they think? Sadly, I think too many of us do. I know when we’re younger (think school age) what our peers think of us matters more than just about anything else. We want to be liked and admired. As we grow and mature, I’d like to think that feeling goes away, but it doesn’t. What other people think about us matters.
Who cares what they think? I do, you do, we all do. But I think there are different levels to that caring. As a teenager, most kids will do whatever they need to in order to fit in. That’s probably one of the biggest reasons that teens make poor choices. They want to fit in, they want to be liked and admired by their peers. I know I made my share of poor choices in high school and in college just because I wanted to fit in and be like everybody else.
Flash forward quite a few years, and here I sit, a full on adult, and I still care, to some extent. I think most adults do The difference for me is I don’t go along with the crowd, and I’m not afraid to speak my mind. I think we’re always going to want other people to think well of us, to admire us and what we do. But we can’t let it rule our lives, we can’t let the opinions others have about us bring us down. In the end, what really matters is that you are happy with who you are, how you act and what you say and do.
Who cares what they think? We all do, but in the end, it doesn’t matter. You’ll be happier if you care what you think rather than what they think.
