Repetition
It’s the repetition of affirmations that leads to belief. And once that belief becomes a deep conviction, things begin to happen. – Muhammad Ali
It’s funny…I know I’ve said it before, but I don’t generally pick out these quotes with any rhyme or reason. I just read through my list of quotes and send them out. And it never fails, at least once during the week, one of them jumps out and whacks me upside the head. Today, it’s this quote. I have a vision board that I made on power point. It has pictures of things I want to attract into my life, and affirmations scattered through out. I look at it every morning, and I try to look at once during the day and again at night. That part doesn’t always happen, but I do try. Well this morning, I was going through the different slides, and I realized that I was kind of paying lip service to them. I wasn’t focusing on them as intently, and I wasn’t “feeling it” in my heart like I usually do. I was doing the repetition, but I was missing out on the belief, and therefore I was also missing out on the deep conviction. In order for vision boards and affirmations to work, you have to believe from the very depths of your soul that all that you desire is yours. That can be kind of challenging when you are wanting say, a new car, and you’re driving around in an 84 Escort or something. You have to see yourself, driving the car, feel it, if necessary, go to a dealership and take one for a test drive every now and again. Follow the example set by Jim Carrey and write yourself a check for the amount of money you want and carry it around in your wallet. Do whatever you have to do to believe and get that feeling of deep conviction.
