Enjoy the Moment

When you dance, your purpose is not to get to a certain place on the floor. It’s to enjoy each step along the way.~ Wayne Dyer

Okay I have to say first, this isn’t entirely true.  I’m sure at one time or another, all of us have used dancing across the floor as a way to position ourselves in front of that cute guy/girl.  However, that’s NOT what this quote is talking about.  Unless you’re trying to attract the attention of that certain someone, OR you’re competing on Dancing with the Stars, when you dance, you’re there to have fun.

That’s kind of what life should be about.  Not a struggle to get the most degrees, or the highest paying job, or the biggest house or the fanciest car – we should just be enjoying life.  Sure having those things can make life even more enjoyable, we just need to remember not to get so caught up in the getting of them that we forget to enjoy them.  The same could be said for resenting the things that we DON’T have.  If we waste time, effort and energy stressing over what we don’t have, we don’t get a chance to enjoy what we do have.    It’s all about finding a balance between enjoying what you have and working to get more.  Find the balance and enjoy the life you have.
