It’s a Thought Garden

Once you replace negative thoughts with positive ones, you’ll start having positive results. – Willie Nelson

I’ll start by saying it’s true, when you get rid of your negative thoughts and focus on the positive ones, you’ll start to see positive results in your life.  I’ll also be incredibly honest and admit (at least for me) it’s one of the hardest things in the world to do.  It’s like negative thoughts are coated in super glue and they just stick inside your head and they grow and grow and grow.  And somehow those negative thoughts seem to grow feet and stomp all over those positive thoughts.  It’s kind of like weeds in a garden.  Positive thoughts are a garden that require loving care and nurturing, and the negative thoughts are the weeds that need to be pulled out.  Well you need to be ruthless and weed your thought garden EVERY DAY and sometimes, multiple times a day.  Grab those negative thought, rip them out by the roots, and toss them in the burn pile.  Then be sure to lavish some love and attention on the new positive thoughts that are sprouting in your thought garden.  Tend them, water them, and keep weeding.  If you do, you’ll have an amazing and bountiful crop of positive thoughts and when you harvest them, even more amazing things will come to you.
