Trust Yourself

If your life is cloudy and you’re far, far off course, you may have to go on faith for a while, but eventually you’ll learn that every time you trust your internal navigation system, you end up closer to your right life. – Martha Beck

When I drive, I have a GPS, but for some odd reason, I’m not too good at following it.  It says go left, I turn right.  I try and follow the little navigation pictures and end up on the wrong road and hearing the incessant “Recalculating. Recalculating.” Sometimes, I just go, without turning on the GPS, and I get myself good and lost before I finally capitulate and turn it on.  It can be a little disconcerting to think I know where I’m going only to find out that I have no clue.  But again, I turn on the GPS and eventually, I reach my destination.  It can be like that way in life too.  We have a destination in mind, and we have a road map or plan to follow to get there.  But sometimes, we get knocked off course, and that is way more scarier than when you’re just driving around in your car.  Here’s the thing, just like your car GPS, you have your internal GPS.  Some people call it intuition, some call it your gut, and some call it a higher power.  Whatever you want to call it, trust it.  Listen to it, and more importantly, do what it says.  It will get you back on track and headed toward the life you deserve.
