Temple Run and the Law of Attraction

I have a new interest  issue addiction - it's called Temple Run.  I had no idea what this game was until one day, I was riding in the car with my daughter and these very strange noises started coming from her tablet.  At first,  thought it was the car, but then she proceeded to explain the game Temple Run to me.  I tried it when I got home, and the rest is, as they say, history.  But I'm not here to talk about my little video game interest   issue   addiction.  What I want to talk about is how I am using this game and applying it to the Law of Attraction. In Temple Run, there is a magnet bonus you can get and when you do, your character gets a glowy aura about it, and will automatically begin attracting coins.  Since attracting a lot of coins is one of the key aspects of the game, getting the magnet bonus is a good thing. One morning, driving to work, I was running over my affirmations in my head and one phrase jumped out at me.  I am a magnet for luck, a magnet for love and a magnet for money and…

Don’t Just Pay LIP SERVICE to your Affirmations

I have a set of affirmations I say on a daily basis, and with that I have a routine. I usually say them while driving my car on my way to work. On some levels this works great. I have a scheduled set time when I do them, and they get done, but on another level, I discovered this isn't working out too well. Why? Because I'm focusing, as I should, on my driving, and NOT on my affirmations. I'm NOT feeling them, I'm NOT believing that that is how my life is right now. Instead, I'm going through the motions of saying them as I make my way through the traffic on the highway to work. Doing my affirmations this way means I'm not manifesting what I truly want as quickly and as effectively as I should. I AM manifesting, but not with the speed I could and should be. Don't just pay lip service to your affirmations, visualizations and meditation. Set aside time to focus on them completely with your entire being. You deserve the break, and you deserve to manifest your heart's desires.

Thinking Positive and Vision Boards

I know, I know, you think vision boards are weird, strange, new age-y or just plain stupid and a waste of time.  I'm here to say - not so much.  Vision boards are just a concrete tangible form of visualization and visualization techniques have been used for many years.  Professional athletes frequently use visualization techniques to improve their performance, as do many stage/screen performers, musicians and business people.  A vision board is merely a pictorial  representation of our wants and our goals. Why am I bringing this up now?  It's simple, really.  I've made several vision boards, on paper, on a bulletin board, and even a video set to music.  The other day I looked at my vision board and realized that I'd actually achieved quite a few of the wants/goals that I'd put on there.  Granted, I don't have the bazillions of dollars that I want, or the McMansion of my dreams, but  when i look back at all the things I wanted that I did get, I know those other things are coming. Why not make a vision board of your own?  It's not hard, plus it's a chance to play with scissors and glue and even glitter…

Speed Your Success

To speed your success, twice a day form a clear mental picture for two minutes of the one thing you want; and tell yourself it's already yours. Imagine it is. It's the secret of the ages, and there have been countless books written on the subject.  Professional athletes do it, successful businessmen and women do it.  People all over the world are doing it.  But what is it?  It, is visualization.  It's not some new age secret, nor is it some metaphysical occult thing.  There are references to visualizing in the bible. Simply put, visualizing is seeing yourself having, or obtaining what you want, seeing yourself living the life you want.  It's focusing on a goal.  Professional athletes practice this skill all the time.  They see themselves hitting the home run, but not just seeing the ball sail out of the park. They'll see themselves standing at the plate, taking their stance, waiting for the perfect pitch, swinging and connecting with the ball - over and over again. If it's good enough for professional athletes, it's good enough for you and me.  Take a few minutes every day and focus - focus on something you want so much.  See yourself…

Imagination

This world is but canvas to our imaginations. - Henry David Thoreau I love imagination. I suppose that's because I have such a vivid one. I am forever getting lost in a world of dreams, and when I read a book, I get so into it, that when I'm done, it's like I'm ripping myself out of one world to join this world. Unfortunately, there are times when I get carried away in my own little dream world, but that's another story. Imagination for me is so great and so powerful because it helps me to see the things I want to happen in perfect clarity. They become real, and it's only a short journey from imagination to making it real. So use this word as your canvas and paint your vision of the perfect world on it in bold vivid strokes.

Visualizing and Goal Setting – The Daily Love

Visualizing and Goal Setting by Tone it up via The Daily Love Last week we talked to you about The Power of Visualization and how you make your dreams come true. We also talked about putting those thoughts into actions by creating your Vision Boards. We have featured a bunch of boards that you all sent to us! See the link below :) We LOVED this challenge and it was so much fun to see all of your goals! Now that you all have your vision boards created, its time to start manifesting! In the past we have been known to ‘wake up on the wrong side of the bed’ and rush into the day without properly preparing our minds. Many of us wake up and instantly start running through a list of ‘to-dos’ and become overwhelmed with stress and anxiety – not an ideal way to start! It takes a lot of mental focus and determination to live freely and have your desired life. Every morning we want you to wake up and take 10 minutes to meditate and visualize. Now that your vision boards are made, it’s easy to be reminded of what your goals are. Make sure…

The Power of Visualization

The Power of Visualization by toneitup.com  via The Daily Love Hi TDL world!!  We believe in change and that dreams come true!  In last week’s blog we talked about The Power of Visualization and how we believe that you can alter your circumstances through positive thoughts and visualization.  This week we want to challenge you to visualize beyond just your mind and create a vision board! Why a vision board? It helps you set your intention and goals – both long and short term.  It also keeps you accountable and focused! What is a vision board?  Basically it’s a simple poster or bulletin board filled with a collage of images, words and pictures of what goals you have in life.  You can draw the images, tear photos from magazines or find Google images.  For example, we like to fill our board with words that are related to actions that will make our goals successful, become a better friend or daughter, a photo of a medal that will encourage us to train harder, images of places we’d like to travel or adventures we want to tackle and quotes that encourage healthy happy living. Your vision and dreams are endless and it’s…

The Law of Attraction Hoax pt 1&2

I received this email from Chris Cade and basically, when it comes right down to it, he’s promoting his own stuff – which i don’t have a problem with. You can choose to sign up for his free 7 day mini-course or not, but I did like what he had to say in the emails and wanted to share them here with you.

Part 1

For a while, I’ve been wanting to “get this out of my system.” As such, this may sound a bit like a “rant” and may jar a few peoples’ nerves. On one hand, my intention is not to cause any discontent; on the other hand, if it causes discontent then I’m grateful I’ve given you something deeper to consider.

Actually, almost three years now I would occasionally be reminded about the seeming inconsistency of calling the Law of Attraction a “Law.” If it’s a law like gravity, why does it seem to work for some people and not others?

Some teachers have attempted to reconcile this by saying it has to do with what you believe, both consciously and subconsciously. They suggest that if you were to align both your conscious beliefs and subconscious beliefs with what you want to attract, then you will attract it like magic.

Sounds good doesn’t it?

My intention is not to criticize other approaches to manifestation, but rather, to call into question the inconsistencies. Why is it that the Law of Gravity doesn’t require us to change our subconscious beliefs, but the Law of Attraction does? (more…)

Living the Life of Your Dreams

The first step to living the life of your dreams is to imagine you're living the life of your dreams. We all have dreams.  Dreams are good, in fact dreams are great.  They give us something to shoot for.  But how do we live the life our our dreams?  How do we start living on that tropical island, or in in a McMansion - or a full mansion for that matter?  The first step is to imagine yourself living the life of your dreams.  Take a few minutes every day and focus intently on your dreams and goals.  See yourself living in your dream house, or driving your dream car.  See yourself walking through your home, touching all your belongings.  Feel them in your hands.  Focus on them.  That is the first step.  But don't get so caught up in dreaming about the life you want to lead that you forget to live the life you have.  Enjoy the life you have, LOVE IT!  Be grateful for it.  That's the second step.  Do these two things faithfully and soon enough you'll find yourself living the life of your dreams.
